Becca is just so cute. She looks like the cocker spaniel I had when I was growing up. She's almost identical. Seeing her brought back some lovely childhood memories. Thanks for sharing such lovely cocker spaniel pictures.

Becca Found A Sofa

Becca is 6 weeks old, she joined our family when she was 4 weeks, far too young to be away from her mum and littermates. Sadly, the 'breeder' wanted to be rid of the pups fast.

Becca is well, strong and healthy now and loves playing with Sadie, our Golden Cocker and Zak, also a Golden Cocker Spaniel!

It's amazing how more love flows when you add another precious Cocker to your pack!

Hello Charmaine,

I'm so sorry to hear about Becca's medical problem. It is indeed very rare but it sounds like you're being very practical about it and getting on with life.

I can imagine how you must be constantly on edge in case she cuts herself or gets involved with other dogs playing a little too rough.

At least Becca is well in herself, day to day, and I guess that's the main thing.

Please give her a big hug from us here - we wish you all well.

Thank you for your kind comments. Becca is now 9 months old and a happy little girl, but what a handful she is!

Becca has been diagnosed as a bleeder (canine haemophilia) which is quite rare and even rarer in female dogs.

We had her spayed at 6 months and it was quite dramatic. She had to be transfused and had an allergic reaction to the donor blood. She now wears a Medic Alert tag. We try our best to treat her in as normal a way as possible, but we're ever mindful that a broken bone or the smallest injury could be a huge risk.

Becca is a very special furkid!

Thank you so much! Becca is now nearly 14 weeks and doing very well. She is full of fun and mischief and there is never a dull moment in our home. Sadie and Zak, our Golden Cocker Spaniels have accepted Becca and it is a joy and delight to watch them play.
